No statutory funding keeps our team on the hill — public donations do.
Donate nowWhy it matters
Fell End Rescue Team is run entirely by 42 unpaid volunteers, answering around 90 callouts a year across the eastern Lake District fells. We turn out 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with an average response of 27 minutes from the call coming in to the team being on the hill.
None of it is paid for by the state. Ropes, stretchers, casualty bags, radios, vehicles and the training that keeps it all safe are bought and maintained with money given by the public. When you donate, you keep that kit ready for the next person who needs us — and one day, that person might be you or someone you love.
£20 helps replace a worn casualty bag. £50 keeps a team radio on the air. £150 covers a volunteer's annual training. Whatever you can give goes straight onto the hill.
